Geothermal Home Heating

The new technology of home heating is called the Geothermal Home Heating. It works in the reverse process of the refrigerator. The heat required for the process is taken from the required single source and is finally deposited in the other location. With the help of effective loop systems heat is absorbed and deposited back into the earth.

The EPA statement proves that consumption of heat can be saved from 30 to 70 percent on heating. But these systems do not prove economical. There are many types of heating systems. But heating systems have their own distinct advantages as well as disadvantages.
Forced Air System is the commonly used geothermal heating system. The Air gets heated up in a furnace and thus gets distributed by ductwork in to the room.

Natural gas, oil, electricity or propane may be used for the heating of air inside the furnace. The distinct advantages are this method can be used alternatively for cooling. The method proves to be least expensive and the air can be filtered. Natural and comfortable geothermal home heating can be obtained from radiant heating system.

The heat can be transferred directly from a hot surface to a cold one. Different forms are available like pot belly stove and hot water tubing. The distribution may be carried through radiant panels and heating stoves. The hot water tube can be fixed below the floor without any difficulty.

Water Base board system works similarly like radiant heat system. Boiler is used for the purpose of heating the water. Distribution of hot water is done through the fin tube which is mounted along the surface of the wall. Fins help the entire system to work efficiently. The distribution of air through the convection process rises up and finally gets heated up in the base board unit. Natural gas, propane, electricity and oil are the fuels used in the boiler.

There are many useful advantages when boiler is used for the geothermal home heating system. Boilers are absolutely free from noise pollution and the energy can be efficiently conserved. The temperature can be controlled effectively.  Steam boilers require Pressure gauges automatic feed and specially designed gauge glasses.

Blow of valves are also needed for steam boilers for efficient performance.  Some of the disadvantages while using boilers for heating are, there may be a slow raise in the temperature.  The units must be left undisturbed and they prove to be a challenge in the placement of the furniture and drape designing.
